Against all the odds, Mason recovered from an horrific bout of meningococcal septicaemia as a toddler but was left with life-changing injuries. These have proved a tough challenge for both Mason and his family. But they haven’t dented this little lad’s spirit or his lust for life. Kids in Need funded a much-needed trip for Mason and his family to finally meet one of his heroes.
Mason’s grandmother, Elaine, had this to say about the experience:
Mason had the most wonderful time at Disneyland Paris, it was so amazing to see this little boy in awe of everything around him and experience so much pleasure, one of the highlights was seeing his idol Lightning McQueen.
As you know Mason and his family have had a tough time over the last couple of years and this trip has provided lots of fantastic memories for everyone!
From the moment we boarded Eurostar we were looked after and this experience alone excited Mason, we arrived in Paris and were transported straight away into the Magical Land that is Disneyland Paris – such wonder and magic through the eyes of an innocent child is just the best experience anyone can have.
With love and massive heartfelt thanks from Mason and his family. much!
